Afrikaaner actually don't excist. They are a mock ethnic group made up from european drop outs who didnt have the education to make it in europe. They couldnt spell either French, German nor Dutch right so they formed a kind of "farm-slang" language made up from broken, misspelled words of those languages. Sometimes spelling mistakes farmers made went unchecked into Afrikaans dictionaries, like they spell watermelon "waterlemon" and use dutch and german words the way only uneducated street sweepers would in their original land. They should actually leave Africa and return to where they came from but they can't make it in Europe. They also are religious fanatics who believe they are God's last chosen nation after the Jews got rejected. They believe their land is the last fortress against the Antichrist. If often happens that they greet you with a hitler greeting. One shocked German exchange student was traumatized by her host family when they baked her a swastika cake, thinking that Germans would like that, although this symbol has been banned in Germany for 60 years. Afrikaaner are worse than rednecks and hillbillies, inbred and short sighted they are also extremely violent. They beat their wives and kids, and teachers are still beating students at school.
Afrikaaners believe God helped them kill thousands of Zulus at the river of blood, and still today they celebrate that event with "beloftes dag". They give all the other well meaning hard working whites in southafrika a bad name, because the rest of the world is not aware that the English speaking Southafricans are very different. To speak Afrikaans is a confession of a mindset of racism, fundamentalism paired with a severe lack of knowledge.
