Compound word - party with a few intimate associates taking place after the main party, usually in a different location but peripherally related to the main party.

Where you go after the bars tell you "you don't have to go home but you can't stay here" and kick your drunk ass out to the curb. Here you'll listen to really repetitive techno music (that sounds better after the extacy kicks in), watch gay men dance with their shirts off, and pay $8 for a bottled water.
Lets go to that afterparty at 1372 and see if we can score some E.

Usually a bunch of people congregating in a stranger's house after a real party or rave ends (or gets busted). Sometimes there's more music and booze, but it mostly consists of random people in corners coming down off of some good rolls, or having sexual encounters in the single dingy bathroom.
