Air Force

What is Air Force?

1.

The most effective, capable, and rational branch of the military; most effective force via General Patton, USA,"You don't win wars by dying for your country. You win wars by making the other poor bastard die for his country!"

This definition must have been written by someone in the Air Force, It's all spelled correctly!

2.

A branch of the military services known for direct action and a casual approach to problem-solving. Sleeping under clean sheets is an essential component of the lifestyle.

Example 1. If you need a bridge, factory or city removed, call the Air Force and it will be gone before happy hour at the Officers' Club.

Example 2. If you told Navypersonnel to "secure a building," they would turn off the lights and lock the doors. The Armywould occupy the building so no one could enter. Marineswould assault the building, capture it, and defend it with suppressive fire and close combat, leveling it in the process. The Air Force, on the other hand, would take out a three-year lease with an option to buy.

3.

The U.S.branch of service that is responsible for delivering our nuclear weapons, therefore the most powerful fucking military unit that has ever existed in the world. What's unique about the Air Force is that it is the only military unit in which the officers do all the fighting, while the enlisted men sit back and deliver toilet paper or type up memos ordering officers to their death.

I'm an enlisted man in the Air Force. I'm a little non-combatant twat.

4.

1. The branch of the military that everyone wishes they had joined instead of (insert other branches here).

2. The most destructive fighting force on the face of the planet. (You won't see a marine dropping a nuke).

3. The branch of the U.S. Armed Forces with the finest looking women in all of the DoD. >_O

4. The only branch of the U.S. Armed Forces with a future in space.

Air Force Red Berrets (Combat Control Technicians) are more hardcore than the Seals, Delta Force, Rangers, any Marine, and their purpose is to save U.S. servicemen's lives.

5.

Controls nuclear weapons for the United States. Most unappreciated branch of the military. This is largely due to ignorance. Our planes are usually the first into a wartime environment to clear the way for soldiers and marines.

Many "soldiers" who look down upon the Air Force do not realize that there are many fighting members of the Air Force that are not Officers. While most of the enlisted force has noncombat duties, there are many career fields that place enlisted men in the field.

Combat Control and TAC-P are Special Forces that enter combat zones to fight alongside marines and soldiers and call in air strikes. PJs (Pararescue Jumpers) are the tip of our Special Forces, they jump into extreme combat situations to rescue Marines, SEALs, and Rangers. They have received some of the highest awards in the service, such as the Medal of Honor.

Even Security Forces (MPs for the Air Force) now have extended training on convoys and urban warfare since the war on terrorism started. Security Forces now performs convoys in Iraq and Afganistan, and conducts sweeps throughout Iraqi cities near Air Bases. The 820th Combat Security Forces Squadron were some of the first servicemen to jump into Iraq along side of the 82nd Airborne. Select Security Forces personnel also attend Phoenix Raven (advanced hand to hand combat) Training, as well as Army Ranger school

While most of the Air Force are slackers, there are a select few that are true soldiers. You will see them wearing berets and flight suits.

Air Force Berets are earned not issued, unlike the Army..

6.

the only branch that has the officer-enlisted thing figured out, send the officers and leave the enlisted to deliver the mail to there moms. Also they get all the hot chicks, Have you seen army chicks?

I should have joined the Air force instead of the Army.

7.

A branch of a military that defends its country through the use and exploitation of air and space. Most decent air forces have a fleet of fighters and bombers. The most advanced air force in the world is the United States Air Force, which controls the majority of the United States nuclear arsenal. Its main three high-level bombers, the Spirit, Lancer, and B-52 Stratofortress are all capable of extremely long ranges and nuclear loads.

Many people believe USAF enlisted personnel spend most of their time doing office work of sorts while their officers are flying high. That is not the case, as many enlisted men also fly on USAF aircraft (flight engineers/technicians, crew chiefs, etc.)
