What is Aixwit?

Someone who makes confident, yet erroneous, assertions about matters of English grammar, spelling, and usage, and then refuses to back down despite all the evidence. Derived from "John of Aix", a poster on uk.misc well-known for his aixwittery, and "fuckwit".

Don't be such an Aixwit, " ungent" is not a valid spelling of "unguent".
