The origins of this word are to be found in the works of Jacques Derrida, a French post-structuralist. It indicates a process that is in motion, such as deconstruction, waiting to be revealed or noticed. People using this term can be identified as post-structuralists or trying to express a post-structuralist concept (such as Louis Althusser).
