An American citizen, invariably by birth, who feels guilty about living in a country so wealthy and full of opportunity that they turn their resentment outward. They are usually spotted by snide or disparaging remarks about capitalism, wealth, the private sector, Republicans, the military, and the Founding Fathers; during wartime, they express sympathy for the enemy.
I knew she was an America-hater when she started dissing Ann Coulter and praising Cindy Sheehan.
