A person who is so focused with rules, and the way things "should be", that they show no common sense, and becomes an annoyance to all.
Sid: "Linda adheres to the 'No alcohol in the cabin' rule, even on New Year's Eve!"
Laura: "She's a true analist."

To be annoying, frustrating or just generally being a fag.
I derived the word originally from the mix of the words "Anal" and "Rapist" Thus the word analist was born.
Can also be used as a greeting sometimes I have found.
"Your such a f***ing analist"
"Stop being such an analist"
"Alright you Analist"
