A person who is so focused with rules, and the way things "should be", that they show no common sense, and becomes an annoyance to all.
Sid: "Linda adheres to the 'No alcohol in the cabin' rule, even on New Year's Eve!"

I derived the word originally from the mix of the words "Anal" and "Rapist" Thus the word analist was born.
Can also be used as a greeting sometimes I have found.
"Your such a f***ing analist"
