Adjective. Hybrid combination of apeshit and AWOL:

When someone has reached such a state of ape-like anger and rage (or excitement-driven lunacy) that they, in fact, leave their mental post. In other words, they TOTALLY lose it.

Example of excitement-driven lunacy usage:

Grandma went totally apewol when the Publisher's Clearing House crew arrived! She grabbed and mounted that big check and galloped around the room on it!
