Etymology: Likely to have come from Scooby-Doo often reacting to the order to go search for ghosts with Shaggy. Picked up in the late 90s.
Hot Girl: He wouldn't let me give him a blow job.
Guy: Aru??! He what!?
Bill: Come here, Joe. We need your help.
Joe: Aru?

Appended onto any noun to make it sound Asian or Oriental (Japanese/Chinese/HongKongese/etc.)
Background: From Futurama, when Bender challenged the "Iron COOKARUUUUUUUU!"
Note: when typing or writing 'aru' you can use multiple Us to denote that you are yelling and drawing out the "oo" sound on the end.
"Iron Cookaruuuuuuuuuuu!"
"Let's got race our pocketbikaruuuuuuuu!s"
"Are you going to cook some teaaruuu?"

A friendly greeting or acknowledgement of notice. A greeting howl. Largely synonymous with "hello" or "I see you."
