referring to a person who is incredibly stupid and probably either arrogant and/or obnoxious. An idiot, an arrogant moron.
Metaphor for idiocy with the literal meaning of someone who's brain has been eaten up or ate up.
Adjective:
Stupid or brazenly idiotic behavior or personality
Rush Limbaugh is such an ate-up... I can't believe the ate-up thing he said in 1994: "It has not been proven that nicotine is addictive, the same with cigarettes causing emphysema and other diseases." (Radio show, 4/29/94)
