What is Balloch?

A wee toon on the Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond in Dunbartonshire Scotland. It is where the River Leven meets Loch Lomond (the biggest loch in Scotland), popular with tourists and locals who enjoy hiking, boating and a few confused ones who come looking for the monster.
A famous folk song was written for the Balloch area:
You tak the high road an' I'll tak the low
an' I'll be in Scotland afore ye
For me an' my true love will ne'er meet again
on the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
