North York Moors in origin, used to describe ones emotion to a particular recently passed action or event. It can mean anything you want it to, depending on where you place the emphasis.

Child refuses to do his chores, father "bearp/bearh/byep 's"

in disgust.

Child bring home an interesing item, father "bearp/bearh/byep 's" with approval.

It is always the father, never the mother who used bearp.

Note, the spelling of the word is currently in debate and is down personal preference.
