Beckham'd It

What is Beckham'd It?

1.

phrase coined in Euro 2004 by a british broadcaster during a Netherlands vs Sweden quarterfinal match.

Originates from an England vs Portugal quarterfinal when famed English set kicker David Beckham blasted a penalty shot 20 feet over the cross bar.

Commonly used now whenever someone shoots a puck/soccerball/basketball miles above the target. Works for pretty much any sport.

Joe Sakic is in alone on a breakaway! he shoots! Ohhh! and he's beckham'd it!
