Possibly the best last name in the history of last names, 'Beland,' is of Icelandic origins, meaning, 'one with long toenails,' or 'he who has more hair on the left side of his head.' Considered the most kickass name in the universe, Napoleon Bonaparte considered changing his name to Beland, until he realized that in fact he had more hair on the RIGHT side of his head, and so it was undoable.
