What is Benigger?

Verb: for 'God' to allegedly 'curse' a Caucasian person by turning their skin black (1) as punishment for their disinterest in him ('God').
As demonstrated in the following passage from The Book of Mormon:
"And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them." (2 Nephi 5:21, emphasis added)"
1: "black" refers to the skin tone of Native Americans, rather than the skin tone of Africans/African Americans.
Husband: And yea, God did like totally benigger those Native Americans for not listening to him.
Wife: So becauseth we're white, we beith alright?
Wife 4: Totally-eth - racism doesn't kill people's souls and disrespect them as human beings at all!
Husband: Silence! A woman will only speak when spoken to Wife 4! Don't make me do to you what I did to Wife 6!
