Exclamation, usually negative. Often used when you or someone else has just done something clumsy and/or stupid. Also the supposed sound made by someone with downs syndrome.
I dropped my beer. Berks!
A: Look, Aaron just fell into that table and spilled beer all over that girl's tits.
