Bermuda-shortage

What is Bermuda-shortage?

1.

A paucity of American visitors to a country which depends on the tourist industry.

Bemoaning the current BERMUDA-SHORTAGE, Lester O'Hagan, the Tourism Minister of the poverty-stricken Hindward Islands, declared on television: "Imminent disaster is staring our beloved nation in the face. Our economy depends on that dollar carried in the hip-pocket of each one of our generously-proportioned American friends. Fellow citizens, we must win these lovely people back to our shores; we must cosset them, flatter them and pander to their every whim. Let our slogan be: 'Hanker for a Yank - it's money in the bank.'"

Unfortunately, the gifted politician omitted to switch off the microphone before adding: "Ain't them Yanks just so obscenely FAT? Have you ever seen such ARSES? They can't hardly WALK for wobbling, so how they ever manage to copulate, F*CK only knows!"

See wobbling, Persson
