What is Bitshifting?

1. Operating on binary numbers by moving all their bits a given number of places to the left or right, truncating excess. Equivalent to multiplying or dividing by a power of 2. The act of complaining, as a programmer.

1. The decimal value 10 (binary 1010) bitshifted left 5, is 320 (binary 101000000).

2. The programmers were bitshifting about having to prototype their functions.
