Slang term in the UK, Australia and some other Commonwealth countries. Very, very common. Is NOT the alternative to "fucking" because it is more in the range of offense to "damn".

3.
very mild swearword used mainly in Uk but also very common (I am told) in Austrailia. Can be used before or in the middle of words/phrases to emphasize meaning - be it good, sarcastic or bad. It really does sound silly when americans say it - think about it, it's the equivalent to a brit saying 'mall' or '
fan-bloody-tastic (sarcasm)
bloody good idea (well done! good thinking)
Oh bloody hell (damn)
have a bloody good birthday (happy... or vaguely evil)
too bloody right (in agrement)
or my personal favourite 'abso-bloody-lutely' (yeah innit)
4.
a very mild swear word with multiple meanings. adds emphasis to basically anything you want it to, most often put before words, or in the middle of them. also often means annoying. has absolutly NO effect when said by americans.
Its so bloody cold out side.
Bloody Stephanie, always getting in the way.
I couldnt see a bloody thing.
5.
A british slang term similair to the word "damn". Also a word which many Americans use in order to sound "cool", despite the fact that they sound like total wankers.
Yank: "Dude, what the bloody hell was that?!"
Brit: "...your a wanker."
Brit: "I'm sick of those Yanks using our bloody words all the time. Can't they make up any of their own, or must they steal everything from us Brits?"
