What is Bookless?

Someone who is illiterate. They can not read, write, do math or anything that is required to get anywhere in life. They also have no inrest nor show any effort to become unbookless. They are proud to be Bookless!
He is bookless, and he doesn't want to learn to read or function as an adult.
He managed to trick the government to take care of him because he is bookless.
He is not embarressed that children, even his own, can read while he remains bookless.
