n. concept that a global human consciousness will form manifested as the nexus of all written knowledge on Earth and the inter-connectivity of that information through computer networks. This concept spawned the fictional Borg species on the TV show Star Trek: The Next Generation which are a race of interconnected beings with a single mind.
