What is Bothargic?

a state of being in which a thick, oily and oppressive cloud presses down on you and prevents you from wanting to leave your comfy chair and do productive/fun things.
it must be noted though that this cloud does not press down in a painful way, but with just the right amount of pressure to make getting up seem like far too much effort to be worth it.

"I know, let's go to a club!"
"Nah, I'm feeling we should just stay here. There's a cloud of bothargy in the air."
