A British sitcom. Some excellent examples of britcoms are Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Black Adder, AbFab, and (my personal favorite) Spaced.

A BBC-produced situation comedy, like "Fawlty Towers", "Are You Being Served?", and the more recent "The Office."

Did you catch that Britcom marathon on PBS last night? Good times.
