What is Brittany Year?

The way Brittany measures time. When a school year ends so does her year. This can lead to much confusion. It is also unclear what she considers the Summer between school years or if it exists to her at all. Basically, a Brittany year is a nine month school year.
Brittany: My myspace headline has been the same for a year.
Me: You just changed it at the end of seventh grade. This is September. Oh, are you talking Brittany years again?
Brittany: Sure, lets go with that.
