Broadmead

What is Broadmead?

1.

The central shopping district of Bristol, a large city in the South West of England. It consists mostly of 4 pedestrianised streets, but also contains a small shopping mall known as the Galleries.

Directly to its east is Cabot Circus, a newly developed, more upmarket shopping centre. To the South West is St Nicholas' Market (colloquially referred to as St Nicks), the Centre, and Park Street, all of which are an extension of the main shopping district.

The whole district, containing Broadmead, Cabot Circus, St Nicks, the Centre and Park Street is often refered to collectively as "town".

"'Ere Mary, do you want to go ter Broadmead?"
