What is Bumping Blacktop?

To send someone home, without a ride. Mainly used when someone has been kicked out 'on their ass' from a job where they've bummed a ride with someone to reach, such as construction.
1.)Tony was bitching all morning, so I sent him bumping blacktop.
2.)If I catch Chad standing around doing nothing again, his ass is bumping blacktop all the way back to town.
