What is Burkshard?

A crevasse in a glacier on an 8000m peak which is difficult to cross, if not impassable. The key is that it is over 8000m.
The menacing burkshard stopped the 8000m expedition in its tracks.

I totally burksharded that group back at the hanging belay as I cruised through. One guy passed out and the other just started vomiting everywhere.
