To buy fries is to sell your body (prostitution). Can be used in many case-specific metaphors to crack on friends. Meaning can be changed for a joke purpose, such as just sex instead of prostitution, and buying-ones-own-fries:masterbating. Also key in cracking is the location at which someone bought the fries, making that part of the metaphor to imply that they are an inexpensive prostitute that will work in, say, a Wendy's.
