What is Camden?
1.
Located across the Delawere River from Philadelphia, in South New Jersey; Camden was rated the most dangerous city in the United States circa 2004. There are more crimes committed per square mile than any other city in the U.S. Camden is poverish African American community and largely filled with ghetto row-homes that are barely standing.
Don't be in Camden past dark, you will get merc'd for your kicks.
2.
A city where you can buy any drug you want on pretty much every corner. The most dangerous city in the country it has been rated as for the past 2 years now. There is no reason to be there unless you are buying a gun or buying drugs. You have no business being there if you are white unless you are a cop or some crazy a** m'fer. Never go there at night. Only thing there is the tweeter center where some concerts are held but i'd still watch my back if i went. Don't ever go there unless ur trying to buy a gun or some drugs...even then u got some balls drivin in there with anything more than a beat ass honda civic with no hub caps and half the paint peeling off with dents in the door. Never stare at people there...bad idea.
Camden is on some real hood shit.

A city in New Jersey, close to Philadelphia in proximity. Yes, Camden does have a high crime rate, with corrupt cops, school board members, and government but the people living in Camden are hard-working and live in a vicious, never-ending cycle. I'm from Camden, still live here, and no, I have never tried drugs, never have smoked and I've never been drunk. I can spell grammar, and my grades are above average according to standardized tests. I hope I can break the stereotype that has been posted on Camden, and the people who live here. Every city has its gangs, drugs, serial killers even. When you watch TV and see some crazy serial killer, they’re usually from some remote hick town which people claimed was “peaceful and non-violent”.
I’m from Camden, and while I don’t attend high school here, I go to a school in Cherry Hill. So I know kids in Cherry Hill and Moorestown who get drunk, wasted and high every weekend. And the kids hook up with dozens of people, even with freakin’ strangers.
At least the people in Camden don’t put up a façade, and act fake; Camden keeps it real, even if “the real” is ugly. Camden is a reflection of every city.
And Camden doesn’t only have Black people. There’s White people, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, Colombians, etc. And yeah, I’m Dominican aka a minority, so people need to take their unreasonable assumptions up their condescending asses.
Camden isn’t full of ignorant, illiterate idiots. Just like Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City, Camden is a place with variety, a place with its good and bad. I may be bias, but what the Hell, I love Camden.
And New Jersey isn’t trash. Neither are the girls. Jersey girls aren't ugly either, I'm living proof of that. While I don’t like altercating, or starting beef, call me “Jersey trash” or “Camden hoe”, and I’ll seriously drive your face in so much you won’t be able to get laid for the rest of your life. Even Chewbacca will pass.
"Camden isn't fake, Camden doesn't feel the need to put up a façade like Los Angeles."

Camden is a city across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. This is one of America's most economically depressed cities. Economic development has been restricted to the waterfront with sites such as Tweeter Center and State Aquarium. But interior Camden is ghetto.
Camden is at the foot of the Ben Franklin Bridge.
