He is considered the best central defender in the world. He is very hot, has a shaved head, small feet, excellent physique and slightly short compared to many soccer players. He is married to Daniela and they have two sons, Christian and Andrea, and a daughter, Martina. He is regarded as something of a sex symbol in his native Italy and was recently voted "sexiest player" of the 2006 World Cup.
