Race of metamorphic peoples from the Gamma quadrant. Also known as "Founders".
They are worshipped as gods by the subjects of the Dominion, which includes the Jem'Hadar (A soldier race, made loyal by an addiction to a chemical called white, only available through the founders.) and the Vorta (The masters of the Jem'Hadar, who distribute the white).
Their ability to shape change is remarkable. When assuming a form, they can not only visually appear to be that item or life form, but upon tricorder or ship array scans, appear to be whatever it is they are imitating.
Nog is acting like a completely different person lately, so I took a blood sample. He's not a changeling is he?
