What is Chefgate?

Spring 2006's brouhaha surrounding Isaac Hayes's departure from the Comedy Central TV show South Park. Mr. Hayes, who voices the character of Chef, left due to controversies about making religion the butt of the show's jokes.
"I can't believe they won't show 'Trapped in the Closet' because of that dick Tom Cruise."
"Yeah man, Chefgate totally sucks my balls."
