Stubborn assertion of ridiculously unsubstantiable opinion as fact based on a faulty understanding of the science related to a particular subject.
Chick: You can't cut those roots that are damaging the driveway and sidewalk next to our house. If you do it will kill the leaves and branches on that side of the tree.
Dude: What the fuck are you talking about? That's chick science. The tree sucks water from all the roots.
