What is Chinese Downhill?
1.
In skiing, the Chinese Downhill is where a number of people go down a slope at the same time in a race. Instead of simply racing, racers are encouraged to battle at knock other people from the race. This can involve, punching, kicking the other person with a ski, hitting them with poles, or just about anything means.
This term is not only restricted to skiing as a Chinese Downhill could feasibly be done in any sport that involves racing. Participants are not also restricted to skiing as they could easily be on snowboards or other snow device. Chinese downhill could also be done with foot races or other competitions.
An example of the Chinese Downhill is in the 1984 movie Hot Dog...The Movie. In it, people pay a $40 entry fee and the person who makes it down wins the pot. (In the movie, the pot is $2,300).
