CHRistian In Name Only. Pronounced CRY-no.
Someone who professes to follow Jesus, the Prince of Peace, the Lamb of God, the Savior of Mankind, but advocates policies opposed to Jesus's teachings.
Inspired by the term RINO (Republican In Name Only), which holier-than-thou Republicans are fond of calling one another.
Reverend Pat Robertson professes to be a disciple of Jesus, then asks why someone doesn't just assassinate Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela, with whom Robertson disagrees. Robertson is therefore a CHRINO.
President George Bush professes to be a Christian, then launches a preemptive war against a non-aggressor nation and kills 660,000+ people. Bush is therefore a CHRINO.
President Bill Clinton attends church on Sundays, then commits adultery with an intern in the White House every other day of the week. Clinton is therefore a CHRINO.
