What is Circus Math?

Math used when the intent is to confuse, confound or falsify the true calculations.

By increasing certain taxes, lowering other taxes, adding new taxes, removing others as well as giving new and old taxes old and new names the Government performs circus math, a dazzling display of calculations that few people can ever figure out.
