What is Citalopram?

Citalopram hydrobromide- an antidepressant. Citalopram is an ssri(selective seratonin reuptake inhibitor) used to treat anxiety disorders and depression, from the same family as prozac. It stops the reuptake of seratonin in your brain, leaving you with more of the hormone, and hence happier and more relaxed. Potential side effects include nausea, shaking, dizziness, palpitations, dry mouth, insomnia, tiredness, thoughts of self harmand suicide. On the whole, the more severe symptoms are rare, and citalopram is a compartively safe and non-physically addictive drug.
