What is Claphamite?

A resident of the South West London area of Clapham responsible for its gentrification. Claphamites are typically middle class and in their 30s or early 40s. They drive Chelsea Tractors, visit Starbucksand do their shopping at Sainsbury's.

Claphamites are posh and trendy and wouldn't be seen dead anywhere near ghastly places like nearby Brixton, preferring instead to hang around in the safe and clean environment of Clapham Common with its gastro pubs, organic bakeries and vodka bars.

Did you see that pair of Claphamites coming out of Brixton tube? They looked scared shitless.
