To "waste" space on the internet, particularly by posting unrelated or incoherent statements on discussion forums, but can also be related to a number of different situations including correcting the spelling of another person's posting, pointing out the obvious, deliberate Karma whoring, stalking, perezhilton, and a host of other maladies that waste people's attention.
