What is Cognos?

1. A word offered as a sort of peace offering. When someone is mistreating you, you hold up the "Star Trek" hand symbol (index and middle finger seperated from ring and pinkie finger) and say cognos, to symbolize that a certain individual is being rude.
2. Can be used as a similar sign to the sideways peace sign except you do the "Star Trek" hand symbol (index and middle finger seperated from ring and pinkie finger) but then turn it sideways and say cognos.
1. Person A: You look really ugly today! Person B: (Cognos hand symbol) Cognos, man, cognos!
2. Person A: See ya later! Person B: (sideways Cognos hand symbol) COGNOS!
