Warfare in which Highly disciplined musketeer brigades, marched until they were as close as 50 yards from the enemy, then fire volleys of flintlock musket fire, at an annoyingly slow 5 shots per minute. some battles were even won by charging at the enemy and using bayonets mounted on muskets as lethal melle weapons. One can only imagine the stress soldiers put up with in this type of warfare.
