When a third party happens upon a couple when they are in conflict, usually its the female that gives the conflictious stare.

That is, two people are in a state of disharmony, and a third person, unknowingly becomes a target just because they are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

C'right happened upon a conflictious situation, when at Bear's house he asked Rachel "How you doin'?" when in the company of Chauncy. Even though as far as C'right knew, everything was peachybetween himself and Rachel, it was a conflictuous situation, and he had to bail while his heart was still beating.
