Copypaste

What is Copypaste?

1.

The worst example of Internet plagiarism; the act of copying a whole chunk of someone's work and pasting it whereever you see fit for your own use or disguised as your own. Copypasting frequently occurs with web page source codes, signature stealing, "borrowing" from other's guides and posting as your own, etc.

- The asshole copypasted my web source on his site.

- This forum's full of stupid signature copypasters.

2.

Copypaste (a.k.a. copy & paste function) means copying the contents of a document or a program to be added to another document. The word comes from the property in Microsoft Windows and MacOS windowing systems in which it is possible to copy and paste contents by "painting" the text and copypasting it to another window.

Wow, this website looks useful for my discourse, I think I'll copypaste it.

3.

(verb) (cop-E-pAst) the act of manually copying and pasting a URL from a site such as Myspace into a new browser pane because you can't be sure if they've disallowed the intermediary link they not clip onto every URL added.

Myspace disclaimer: you will have to copypaste all the urls I give you because Myspace has flagged me as a terrorist and breaks any linkage i provide.
