The name Dog River was named after an angry man killed dogs and threw them into the river (fictional) The cast include Tara Spencer-Nairn, Brent Butt, Lorne Cardinal, Janet Wright, Eric Peterson, Nancy Robertson, Fred Ewanuick, and Gabrielle Miller. The series started on January 22nd, 2004 and has made 4 season and in going on its 5th in late september 2007.
