Being excluded, ostracised, or otherwise removed from a long standing friendship because of extenuating circumstances, usually involving the opinion of one friend's spouse.
Jim cosbied Joe by sending him an email explaining that his newlywed wife won't let him hang out anymore. Jim can't hang out with Joe ever again.
