Expression used at the University of Washingtonto describe the manner in which the Washington State Universityloses (predominately) football games. Generally, the Cougars compile a healthy lead only to completely fuck it all up late in the game, especially in the Apple Cup. It's fucking sweet.

The 2002 Apple Cup was shit until WSU decided to coug it in the 4th. Then it was pretty alright.
