Ghetto slang for a female who is receiving welfareor is on the countyas it is colloquially known. The term itself is used in a derogatory fashion as it implies that a county chick will never become self-sufficient or employed and essentially depends on the government to subsidize the lifestyle of she and her multiple offspring.

"She's just a county chick, what did you expect?"

"Shanice had another baby and doesn't know who the dad is but it doesn't matter cause she's a county chick".
