It's when you are so hungry you'll eat anything...even your own arm! Borrowed from the definition of coyote ugly. It's when you're so hungry you feel like you could gnaw off your own arm to avoid certain starvation.
Damn, I haven't eaten in 3 days. I'm coyote hungry, I could eat my arm right now it looks so good!
