Embarrassment that you feel for somebody else's actions which are unconnected to anything you yourself did. (Supposedly invented by a college professor who thought there should be a word to describe the sensation) The person you feel embarrassed for is a 'craw-coiler'
They acted worse and worse and annoyed more and more people until I began wishing I hadn't brought them along. It was completely craw-coil.
