Used to describe the "Southern Connecticut" region of Fairfield County Connecticut which includes: Stamford, New Canaan, Greenwich, Norwalk, Darien and Fairfield.
CTNY may be used to refer to the large population of Yankees/Mets fans in this region, the close proximity to New York City or the large city commuter population that resides in Connecticut.
